Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Store Manager to oversee operations during key shifts. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cigars and customer service who thrives in an independent work environment. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of store operations on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Mondays from 9:00 AM to midnight, totaling 23 hours per week. Compensation is $15 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and close the store according to established procedures, ensuring security and readiness for business
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, sharing product knowledge, and offering personalized cigar recommendations
- Manage daily store operations including inventory management, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising
- Maintain a clean, inviting, and comfortable lounge atmosphere that enhances the customer experience
- Process cash and point-of-sale transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ensure full compliance with all tobacco retail regulations and licensing requirements
- Monitor lounge activities and maintain a professional environment for all guests
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older as required by tobacco retail regulations
- Valid TAM (Techniques of Alcohol Management) card required, as guests may bring their own alcohol on premises
- Experience in cigar retail is strongly preferred; candidates with retail or customer hospitality experience will also be considered
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and provide knowledgeable recommendations
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems accurately
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Must be available to work Sundays from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Mondays from 9:00 AM to midnight
