About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Security Operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our telecommunications infrastructure and protecting customer data against evolving cyber threats. You will work at the intersection of telecom and IT security, ensuring the resilience and integrity of our networks and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across telecommunications and IT infrastructure in real-time
• Strengthen and maintain security controls for signaling protocols including SS7 and Diameter, as well as 5G core network components
• Lead and coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing initiatives, and oversee remediation efforts
• Collaborate with network engineering and platform teams to conduct secure-by-design architecture reviews and security assessments
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to telecom environments
• Investigate security breaches and provide detailed incident analysis and reporting
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies relevant to telecommunications
• Mentor junior security team members and contribute to building security awareness across the organization

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response, or security engineering roles
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and defense strategies
• Strong knowledge of network security, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM platforms
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
• Proven ability to analyze complex security incidents and develop effective mitigation strategies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
• Strong communication skills in Polish and English, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GIAC (GCIH, GCIA, GPEN), or equivalent
• Telecommunications security experience, particularly with SS7/Diameter signaling security, 5G core network security, or SIM/eSIM security
• Knowledge of telecom-specific threats including signaling attacks, fraud, and subscriber privacy issues
• Experience with cloud security and securing virtualized network functions (VNF/CNF)
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for security operations
