Senior Python Developer Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications and will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of our projects. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code. - Develop high-quality software design and architecture in collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. - Lead and mentor intermediate and junior developers, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other team members to define and implement new features. - Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge. - Stay updated with the latest trends in the industry and introduce them to the team when appropriate. Qualifications: - Extensive experience with Python and related frameworks such as Django or Flask. - Proven track record of delivering large-scale Python applications. - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. - Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs. - Proficiency in database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. - Strong experience with version control software, particularly Git. - Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well both independently and in team environments. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. - Understanding of DevOps practices and tools including Docker and CI/CD. - Experience with testing frameworks such as PyTest and exposure to TDD/BDD practices. - Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
