Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications under the guidance of senior engineers
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions
- Contribute to the design and architecture discussions for new features and improvements
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve technical skills
- Document technical specifications, processes, and system functionality
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 0-2 years of professional software development experience or relevant internship experience
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or C#
- Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with web development frameworks and technologies (React, Angular, Node.js, Django, etc.)
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Contributions to open-source projects or personal coding projects demonstrating initiative
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker
