About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Inżynier Sieci Telekomunikacyjnych (Senior Telecom Network Engineer) to join our network operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, operating, and continuously evolving our national IP/MPLS and transport network infrastructure that supports both mobile and fixed services for millions of customers across Poland.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain carrier-grade IP/MPLS network infrastructure, transport systems, and RAN backhaul solutions
• Lead incident response efforts during network outages, performing comprehensive root-cause analysis and implementing corrective measures
• Plan and execute capacity upgrades to support growing traffic demands, particularly in preparation for 5G network expansion
• Monitor network performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements to ensure service quality
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and team development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, operations, and vendor partners to deliver network solutions
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 network availability and rapid response to critical incidents
• Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures to maintain comprehensive technical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with carrier-grade networking technologies, including IP/MPLS, transport networks, or RAN infrastructure
• Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and MPLS technologies (LDP, RSVP-TE, L2VPN, L3VPN)
• Experience with transport technologies such as SDH/SONET, OTN, or packet transport networks
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and perform detailed technical analysis
• Willingness and availability to participate in on-call rotation for critical incident response
• Strong communication skills in Polish; English proficiency is advantageous
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional vendor certifications from Cisco (CCNP/CCIE), Juniper (JNCIP/JNCIE), Nokia (NRS II/III), or Ericsson
• Experience with 5G network architecture and RAN backhaul design
• Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar)
• Familiarity with SDN/NFV concepts and implementations
• Experience working in a large-scale telecommunications service provider environment
