The Role

We are looking for a proven Recruitment Manager who can take full ownership of our recruitment function and inspire a high-performing team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will be responsible for building and developing our team of recruiters, driving billings, and shaping our company culture. You will have the autonomy to implement your vision and strategies while working closely with senior leadership to achieve ambitious growth targets.

This is a full-time, office-based position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business trajectory and establish yourself as a key leader within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of recruiters, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to drive individual and collective success
• Take full ownership of team performance metrics, including billings, placements, and client satisfaction
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with business objectives and market opportunities within the life sciences sector
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and candidates across the life sciences industry
• Establish and refine recruitment processes, systems, and best practices to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and maintain competitive advantage
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture that attracts and retains top talent
• Set clear targets and KPIs for the team, tracking progress and implementing corrective actions where necessary
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives alongside senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and industry regulations

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Proven track record of building and scaling a recruitment function from the ground up
• Extensive experience in life sciences recruitment or staffing, with a deep understanding of the sector's unique requirements
• Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing recruitment teams
• Strong commercial acumen with a history of achieving and exceeding billing targets
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building rapport with stakeholders at all levels
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational expertise
• Proven ability to implement effective recruitment processes and drive continuous improvement
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Manchester office. We believe in the value of face-to-face collaboration and team cohesion, and this role requires office-based attendance to effectively lead and support the team.
