About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Software Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of complex software development projects. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the bridge between technical teams, stakeholders, and business leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with exceptional leadership and communication skills to drive project success in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for software development initiatives, from initial planning through deployment and post-launch support
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budget estimates, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, designers, QA engineers, and DevOps professionals
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews
  • Monitor project progress using appropriate tools and techniques, tracking milestones and adjusting plans as needed
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions when necessary
  • Communicate project status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders through regular reporting and presentations
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective resource utilization
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices, quality standards, and compliance requirements
  • Negotiate with vendors and third-party service providers when required
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including requirements, specifications, and lessons learned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software project management or related roles
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in risk management, resource planning, and budget management
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar certification
  • Experience in cloud technologies and modern software architectures
  • Background in software development or technical role
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools
  • Previous experience in the industry sector relevant to our business
